Cloud Healthcare API allows easy and standardized data exchange between healthcare applications and solutions built on Google Cloud. With support for popular healthcare data standards such as HL7® FHIR®, HL7® v2, and DICOM®, the Cloud Healthcare API provides a fully managed, highly scalable, enterprise-grade development environment for building clinical and analytics solutions securely on Google Cloud. The Cloud Healthcare API also includes additional value-added capabilities, such as automated DICOM and FHIR de-identification to better prepare data for these solutions.

Third-party medical imaging DICOM viewer could be integrated with the Cloud Healthcare API. The Cloud Healthcare API could be integrated with multiple viewers, including MedDream DICOM Viewer.

MedDream web DICOM Viewer could be integrated into Google Healthcare Cloud as any other medical cloud storage. After DICOM Viewer’s integration the workflow is as with any other PACS. MedDream needs a service account for authentication, it will not reuse a Google login. There is a possibility to search for a study or open a particular study image from Google Healthcare Cloud with MedDream DICOM Viewer. MedDream supports multiple Cloud instances as it supports Multi PACS.

DICOM VIEWER INTEGRATION INTO Healthcare Cloud

As a diagnostic image viewer, MedDream consists of a Viewer component, which runs in a browser and does not require any installation on the client device, and a MedDream application server, which handles communication with the healthcare cloud storage, Cloud PACS/VNA or any other medical system and prepares images for streaming to the MedDream DICOM Viewer.

MedDream, as an open source friendly DICOM Viewer, uses a flexible and open integration interface for connecting to Cloud storage and/or Cloud PACS systems primarily based on URL calls, thus allowing it to be integrated into any medical application.

MedDream DICOM Viewer can be integrated into any cloud PACS system/VNA including: Google Healthcare Cloud, MedDream PACS, PacsOne PACS Server, dcm4chee PACS, Orthanc PACS, Conquest DICOM Software, ClearCanvas, etc.

MedDream also supports MultiPACS by PACS plugins: dcm4chee v2, dcm4chee v5, Orthanc, PacsOne, DICOM QueryRetrieve, FileSystem.

MedDream supports Cross-enterprise Document Sharing for Imaging (XDS-I.b) profile as DOCUMENT CONSUMER (ITI-18, ITI-43, RAD-16, RAD-55, RAD-69 transactions).
