Agenda of the webinar:

  • Presentation of new v8.6.0 release features
  • MedDream updates: brief overview and future outlook
  • Live demonstration of the most important new features
  • Q&A session with attendees

Speakers:

Speaker: Raimundas Mikalauskas, Product Owner at MedDream.
Moderator: Renata Kalniūnienė, Marketing Project Manager at MedDream.

During the webinar, these questions from the attendees were answered:

– Are there breaking changes when updating to 8.6.0?
– Support for non-DICOM (so, JPG) export of DICOM multiframe images.
– Ultrasound usage: I understand that the navigation bar at the bottom of the clip allows for moving forward or backward, but it lacks precision. Specifically, when I am at the top of the cine clip viewport and use the scroll function with the mouse button, I would expect to reach the last frame of the clip when I reach the bottom of the viewport.
– Can the tab where the study is displayed be closed once the report is finalized by the radiologist?
– Does MedDream support Doppler measurement tools like: VTI, Vmax, Peak Gradient, Mean Gradient. Display PSV, EDV, AT, RI, S/D, VTI. If so, can you elaborate on this?
– Special interest in Cardiology and Ophthalmologic reporting and video streaming.
– Replacing the current viewer with MedDream and connect to two PACS:
– Is it possible to connect at the same time with a) Orthanc via dicomweb b) dcm4chee 2.7 via QR?
– Is it possible to be integrated with legacy his, via e.g. http://ip/?patient=1234 and opening exam window with previous exams without any other authentication? On the demo that I am using is not working.
– Does the Lite version support multi PACS scenario HIS legacy HIS integration? If yes, is it worth replacing existing viewer.
– Is there any multi-monitor support?
– Exporting multiframe ultrasound as mp4 or gif with a configurable framerate would be more convenient instead of export as jpg. This is just a suggestion for improvement.
– Can I migrate from another PACS Vendor to MedDream? And is there any automated image migration?
– For Dental Cone Beam CT, could be used the viewer for this modality? – MedDream supports CT modality. If you want to test the specific study as Dental Cone Beam CT, you can try it on our free online service: dicomlibrary.com. Here you can upload your study and view it with the newest release of MedDream.
– Can you show how the segmentation (you mentioned in the latest release) works?
– Can I give access to patients to their images in a digital way (for example a QR code)?
– Using the viewer Communication API. Can I get the opened study (exact layout) as jpeg or png to print it inside my report. To clarify my question; I have a report template with a placeholder for the image, I need to get the study image and place it on the report.
– Is it possible to install Premium and Lite versions together in the same Windows Server host? What about the service names? (MedDream and Token)? We have MedDream and MedDream Lite on our Windows server. Only one Token service serve both. – Yes, installing both versions on the same Windows server is possible. Windows services names should be different in that case, and the configuration should be done manually.
– I am ready to purchase. Shall we wait for the release of the Lite version next weeks as we might be able to get it for more users at the same budget?
