The new 8.7.0 version of MedDream DICOM Viewer is released!

The most important new features and improvements are described below. 

New features of the viewing functionality:

• Quadrant Zoom provides an overview of the enlarged quadrant of the mammogram image, with the location marked:

• Studies identification. Numbers are shown in front of the date to indicate the opened studies in Thumbnail bar and Viewport (configurable):
  

• Swap. A tool used to swap views between viewports:

• Mask. A tool used to hide text in the viewport:

• Mouse Shortcuts:
  • Ability to set different mouse shortcuts for different modalities.
  • One-time mouse action allows setting a default left mouse action (configurable).

• License & Password Warnings:
  • License expiry warning: Notifies when 7 days or fewer remain until the license expires.

• • Password warning: Displays information about insecure passwords (configurable).

• Theme. Configuration of specific colors directly in the installation configuration files:

• Presenter tools: Whiteboard. Added new Whiteboard drawing functionality:

Improvements:

• Text. Configuration options for text measurement: borders and background color.

• Reference line. Draws based on image position. Supports toggling between two reference line modes. Not displayed for nearly parallel images:

• MIST Oblique.
  • Scrolling function was expanded in MPR reconstructed views:

• • MIP: Single click to enable/disable MIP in the viewport:

• MIST Oblique 3D. New improvements:
  • Anatomical directions information was added in 3D viewports.
  • The quality of 3D visualization was improved.

• Crosshair. The crosshair tool rotates along with the images:
  

• Multiframe. Preloads all frames during the series preloading for multiframe images (configurable):

• Report. New improvements:
  • Supports using a PostgreSQL database to store reports.
  • Allows switching the text writing direction from left-to-right to right-to-left.

Integration via API:

• Communication API. New improvements:
  • API event triggered when a study preload is completed.
  • Hide/unhide study or studies in the thumbnail bar.
  • Set a list of segmentation names for users.

New registrations:

• Colombia Class IIa registration. By the Republic of Colombia Ministry of Health and Social Protection National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance a Sanitary Registration for MedDream was granted.
• ANVISA registration in Brazil. ANVISA has registered the medical software MedDream as II class medical device in Brazil.
• Canada Class 2 registration. Canada Health has registered the medical software MedDream as a class 2 medical device.

Unsupported version (without updates): updates are not purchased and a MedDream version which is older than 1 year from the release date is used.
