Layout Features

The web DICOM Viewer has an advanced layout features, main of them are:

Toolbar > Layout. Select from different types of layouts to view up to 16 DICOM instances at the same time:

icon Thumbnails

Toolbar > Thumbnails. Thumbnails button enables changing the thumbnails place in viewer window. You can select the desired place of Thumbnails bar from drop-down menu: Left, Top, Bottom, Right or Quick menu.

If you choose Quick menu option Thumbnails bar will be hidden and reachable by right mouse click on the image:

Thumbnail bar for CT, MR and PET modalities only:

  • One thumbnail: showing one thumbnail of the instance/series;
  • Study description: possibility to add Study description to the thumbnails.
  • Icons of KO, PR or Segments: if study contains annotations and additional icons of KO, PR or Segments are shown next to the thumbnail;
  • CT/MR phases as separate series in the „tree structure“:

Default image thumbnail size is 100 px. There is a possibility to change the thumbnail size from 50 to 150 px, but recommended sizes are: 50, 68, 100 or 150px.

Thumbnail bar for other modalities:

  • Study images thumbnails are shown max 2×5 for default configuration;
  • Documents thumbnails (SR, PDF, Reports, etc.) default thumbnail size:

icon Full Screen

Toolbar > Full Screen. Full Screen button is used to turn on the full screen mode.

Move mouse cursor on Full Screen icon and click it – the Full Screen mode will be enabled. Click either the icon once again or ESC button in the keyboard in order to exit the Full Screen Mode.

Toolbar > Multi-image/series. Multi-image/series function to select how many images/series can be loaded in the active viewport. Possibility to select the option from Multi image/series drop-down list to open the selected number of series in the active viewport:

Options to expand the images to panels:

  • Double click on image: expand to the active (left/right) panel.
  • Alt + Double click on image: expand to the opposite panel.
  • Double click between 2 images: expand both images.
  • Double click on the crossing of 4 images: expand four images.
  • Double click on expanded image: switch back to original size.

Configurable in user Settings:

Multi-monitor support

Toolbar > Key Objects. Key Objects concept is used in order to mark most interesting instances and save them for later review.

Meddream Dicom Viewer Ko Thumb

Marked instances as Key Objects are stored in DICOM file of KO modality. Instances from different series can be stored in one Key Object selection. All instances marked as key objects are annotated with small star symbol.

Toolbar > Hanging Protocol. Hanging protocol button opens Hanging protocol options window:

You can see the currently applied hanging protocol in red color or apply the other hanging protocols from the list. Possibility to select Hanging Protocols from the list in toolbar menu or quick menu:
